A typical Spanish Breakfast

In Spain the main meal its not breakfast its lunch and sometimes even dinner.
The one shown in the picture is “café con leche largo del café, tostadas de pan de pueblo con tomate y con mantequilla y mermelada”
A long Coffee with milk with home made bread, toasted one with tomato paste and the other with jam and butter.
The Mediterranean diet is ideal, although in many parts of Spain, like this, meat is the main dish.
This week I am in Bejar Salamanca. Here the local fire brigade has been hosting one of the best, if not the best, fire brigade MeetUp.
After 3 intense days of lectures, talks and drills, I stayed over the weekend to enjoy the surroundings.
Road cycling around here is special. I am not sure if I will be competing in LA on my road bike but its a great aerobic exercise and I love it.
